Talent is globally distributed. Access to trusted networks is not.
Some people begin their careers surrounded by others who can offer advice, make an introduction, explain an unfamiliar profession, and uplift them into positions of influence. Others, particularly those from lower-income, first-generation, or geographically isolated backgrounds, build all of that on their own.
That is where Fortis comes in. We bring together high-potential leaders from humble beginnings, across regions and sectors, and give them the relationships, knowledge, and opportunities to reach a higher level of impact than they could on their own.
We recognize that meaningful impact requires connections beyond one's own community or country, which is why our Members span five continents around the world working across cultures, languages, and regions to build a truly global network.
The biggest breakthroughs happen at the intersection of fields. Fortis is intentionally cross-sector, bringing together Members across law, medicine, government, technology, academia, the arts, and beyond, so every problem gets more than one lens.
Fortis is not networking for its own sake. Every relationship in this Society exists in service of something larger; Members use their connections to create positive change, both for one another and for the world around them.
The playing field has never been equal, and every Member has had to build their own way onto it. That shared experience is what makes trust possible between Members from day one, an understanding that doesn't need explaining.
The people you would be joining
A society is only as strong as the people who make it up. Ours spans five continents and touches nearly every field of work, united not by what our Members do, but by what it took each of them to get there: forging a path from humble beginnings.
And many other startups, social enterprises, and organizations members have founded or joined.
Six months, then a lifetime
Six months of mentorship, learning, and introductions, ending at the 2027 Fortis Summit in Medellín. Once you finish the fellowship, you're a member of the Fortis Society for life.

Months one to six, online.
One-to-one mentorship with a Member, trainings and brain trusts on the decisions in front of you, projects that put what you’re learning into practice, and introductions across sectors and continents.

With your cohort first, then the Society.
Spend two days with your cohort at the Fellows Retreat with activities and trainings built around your group. This is followed immediately by the Annual Summit with the full Society, where you’re formally welcomed in as a Member.

You become a Member for life.
People who open doors for you, take the call before a hard decision, and introduce you to the person you didn’t know you needed — then stay with you through every transition, for the rest of your career.
